FreeInsuranceIQ was built on a frustration with the insurance industry's lead-generation model: every time someone searches for insurance information, they're funneled into a form that harvests their contact information and sells it to agents who call relentlessly. We built something different — a site that actually helps people understand their insurance needs without any of that.
This privacy policy documents that commitment in detail. We want you to know exactly what we do — and don't do — with information on this site.
When you use any calculator on FreeInsuranceIQ — whether it's the life insurance calculator, the ACA subsidy estimator, the auto insurance estimator, or any other tool — all calculations run entirely within your web browser using JavaScript. Your inputs are never transmitted to our servers, to Google, to any insurance company, or to any third party.
We do not store your inputs. We do not log them. We cannot see them. They exist only in your browser session and disappear when you close the tab. There is no account system, no login, and no way to associate your calculator results with your identity.
This is a fundamental design choice, not just a policy. We intentionally built server-free calculators so that even if our practices changed, there would be no mechanism to collect your data.
FreeInsuranceIQ displays advertising through Google AdSense. This is how we keep all calculators and articles permanently free. The ads are served by Google, not by us directly.
Google AdSense may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to show you relevant advertisements based on your previous browsing activity across the web. This is Google's standard advertising behavior. Importantly:

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site in aggregate. This helps us improve the site — for example, learning which calculators are most used, where visitors are located geographically, and whether the site loads well on mobile devices.

Google Analytics does not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifying information. The data we access is aggregated and anonymous — we see that "X visitors used the life insurance calculator this week from California," not who those visitors are.

FreeInsuranceIQ itself does not set any first-party cookies. We have no login system, no user preferences to remember, and no shopping cart. There is no cookie from freeinsuranceiq.com stored on your device when you visit.
Third-party cookies may be placed by Google AdSense and Google Analytics as described in the sections above. You can manage, view, and delete cookies through your browser's privacy settings. Most modern browsers allow you to block third-party cookies entirely; doing so will not affect the functionality of our calculators in any way.
FreeInsuranceIQ is not an insurance lead generation site. We do not sell, rent, share, or transmit your personal information to insurance companies, insurance brokers, agents, comparison sites, or any other third party for marketing or sales purposes.
We do not have business relationships with any insurance carrier, agent, or brokerage that involve sharing visitor data. We do not receive referral fees, lead purchase payments, or commissions based on you contacting any insurance company. Our only revenue comes from the Google AdSense display advertising described above.
FreeInsuranceIQ is not directed at children under the age of 13 and is not designed to appeal to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us in any way, please contact us and we will promptly address the concern.
Some browsers have a "Do Not Track" feature that signals websites not to track user behavior. FreeInsuranceIQ does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals because we do not conduct behavioral tracking of our own. Third-party services (Google AdSense, Google Analytics) have their own Do Not Track policies.
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
We will never change our core commitment: no collection of calculator data, no selling of leads to insurance companies, and no email harvesting. Those are structural commitments baked into how the site is built, not just policy statements.
